Directions from Rumuruti - c.2.5hrs
N.B. Please note that large sections of the roads from Nanyuki and Rumuruti to Ol Gaboli has become increasingly rough. Sections are uneven and bumpy, which can make the journey less comfortable in standard vehicles. We strongly recommend travelling in a vehicle suited to dirt roads - ideally a 4x4 with good ground clearance and suspension. If you have any questions about vehicle suitability or would like guidance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to help you plan accordingly.
From Nanyuki - suggested route for people travelling from Nairobi/Samburu/Meru:
Google Maps should direct you straight to camp. However, check that the route it is taking is via Ilmotiok Bridge (about 10km from camp), from which you'll see signs to 'OG' along the road. You can also find us on What3Words or follow the detailed directions below. It should take about 3 hrs from Nanyuki to camp, but can take longer if you stop off to look at animals!
From Rumuruti - suggested route for people travelling from Naivaisha/Nakuru/Gilgil:
Google Maps should direct you straight to camp, passing Sosian & Laikipia Wilderness on the way. Please note that there is a fair bit of corrugation on this road, so having a 4x4 is very useful. Double check that the route it is taking is via Ilmotiok Bridge (about 10km from camp), from which you'll see signs to 'OG' along the road. You can also find us on What3Words or follow the detailed directions below. It should take about 2.5 hrs from Rumuruti to camp, but can take longer if you stop off to look at animals!
If you are joining us from the Kenya Bike Odyssey, your instructions start here.
